We are ready!

Dear friends of the Theater Spektakel

It's almost like Christmas, only that the thrill of anticipation lasts a little longer. After the artistic exploration of five continents, many administrative meetings and a 12-day setup, the time has come: Tomorrow the Zürcher Theater Spektakel opens officially at 18:00 hrs. The four opening shows map this year's programme formally, contextually and geografically: The French choreographer Olivier Dubois kicks off the festival at the Werft venue with a sensational, deeply human dance production. The Nord venue opens with «Cineastas», the latest creation of the Argentinian director Mariano Pensotti (picture below). The young New York director Tina Satter presents the European premiere of «House of Dance» at the Süd venue. Finally, the Swiss singer Erika Stucky and the brass orchestra da Blechhauf'n inaugurate the lakeside stage with a concert premiere.
